Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week returns this spring to bring a unique dining experience to the Greater Cincinnati Area. During the week of April 7-13, participating restaurants will offer $26, $36, $46 and $56 three-course prix fixe menus.

Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week provides the opportunity for locals to be immersed in the culinary talents of the Cincinnati area, while restaurants are able to create new customer relationships, and reward existing ones. Seven days of delicious dining provides for an opportunity to be a culinary tourist in your own backyard. 

Select restaurants will also be offering options from beverage sponsors : MadTree Brewing, Maker’s Mark, Saratoga Still Water, and SWAY by MadTree. Earn points on the app while indulging in the divine three-course meals, beer specials, and seasonal-inspired cocktails.

In addition to great deals at participating restaurants, Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week directly benefits Cincinnati Children’s hospital with $1 from every meal going directly to Children’s.  Additionally – Restaurant Week Organizers match the first 1,000 meals served by donating $1 per meal. 

In the last 5 years, Restaurant Week has raised more than $100,000 to support Cincinnati Children’s greatest needs. Those donations help provide care for families whose insurance does not cover the cost of treatments, lay the groundwork for life-changing research and allows Children’s to grow the programs most in demand.

With the return of Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week comes the return of the Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week app! This will provide access to the list of participating restaurants, the menus being offered, locations, hours of operation and more – all in the palm of your hand. Guests will be able to map out their culinary tour for the week, check in to earn points, view Maker’s Mark drink specials, participate in contests, and receive real-time updates through the app, available now on the App Store and on Google Play. Download HERE.

The Hard Rock Casino in Cincinnati, Ohio is an awesome place for world class gambling. Be sure and check out the delicious food at the Hard Rock Cafe. The upscale sports bar vibe and big screen televisions offer a comfy environment.

I loved the SALMON RAMEN BOWL with perfectly prepared fish, dressed crisp greens, red peppers, and ramen noodles. 

The MESSI CHICKEN sandwich is amazing, double decker juicy fried chicken cutlets served on a red bun, cheese, greens, and served with fries. 

My friends raved over the hearty COWBOY RIBEYE 16oz bone-in steak with herb butter, served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and fresh vegetables. 

BABY BACK RIBS seasoned with a secret spice blend, then glazed with house-made barbecue sauce, and served with fries, coleslaw, and smokehouse beans.

I rarely order cocktails except for when at the Hard Rock Casino Cafe, and my favorites are:

BLACKBERRY SPARKLING SANGRIA a blend of red wine, blackberries, cranberry juice, a squeeze of orange juice, with a float of Riondo Prosecco.

RHYTHM & ROSÉ MULE Absolut Vodka, Meiomi Rosé, passion fruit, green tea, lime, and ginger beer.

I never feel guilty about indulging myself and I had a big, yummy dessert.

HOT FUDGE BROWNIE SUNDAE Warm dark chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, thick hot fudge, whipped cream, and a red cherry.

The restaurant offers carry out, excellent service each time I visit, squeaky clean dining room and restrooms. A great place for a fun meal any day of the week. Must be 21 or older to dine in the establishment.

Continuing with education about delicious wine from the country of Georgia.

They have produced superior wines for thousands of years. 

Kindzmarauli (kinz-mah-rah-oo-lee) is a semisweet wine from Georgia produced with the Saperavi grape. 

Produced since 1942 is the nation’s leading semisweet red wine. Just one sip of Kindzmarauli is enough to remember it forever. The soil consisting of black shale plays a major role in the taste. This black shale washed down by the Duruji river retains heat, which increases the temperature of the soil and the sweetness of the grapes.

A semisweet red wine with a velvety smooth texture. Deep plum in color with notes of blueberry, currants, and hints of vanilla. Kindzmarauli has an alcohol content of around 10-12%, and medium-bodied.

Pairs well with mushroom dishes, juicy burgers, short ribs, goat cheese dips, and roasted veggie sandwiches. The wine isn’t super sweet and has assertive tannins when young. This wine is one of my favorite Georgian red wines and will make an interesting conversation with fellow wine lovers.
