HOUSING

David G. Beard Scholarship Application Closed

At All-In Cincinnati, we remain committed to connecting Black women with opportunities that support their professional growth. The David G. Beard Scholarship, funded through the Greater Cincinnati Realtist Association’s annual golf outing, recently provided a powerful opportunity for aspiring appraisers and real estate professionals to pursue their goals.

The extended deadline of November 22, 2024, gave eligible Black women additional time to apply and position themselves as change-makers in housing practices. This scholarship represents a vital step toward increasing equity and representation in the housing industry.

GOALS

  • Licensure Reform: We are actively advocating for federal changes to appraisal licensure to include the implementation of a mentorship component specifically designed to support Black women across the nation.
  • Training Initiatives: Our focus is on establishing a comprehensive national training plan tailored to Black women appraisers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support to excel in their careers.

PROGRESS

  • We successfully promoted the David G. Beard Scholarship to Black women in Hamilton County, ensuring they were aware of this opportunity to advance in appraisal and real estate professions. As the application process closes, we look forward to seeing how this program will help diversify and transform the housing industry.
